I am writing this on March 20, 2020, in the United States of America. While we are not on a complete countrywide quarantine as many countries are...we are slowly shutting everything down and have no choice but to stay home. As a lot of disabled people and people with medical problems know staying home when you want to get out isn't easy.
The way I look at this is..at least I had the option of leaving my home if I felt up to it before. But now I cant. Because everything is shut down and there is nowhere to go. So where do you want to go?
Virtual travel is the answer. What is virtual travel you ask? I am glad you did! There are so many videos on YouTube done by travel vloggers that you can think up your destination and enter in the search bar and be there right on your own tv!
Take The Bucket List Family for example. On their YouTube Channel, you can Scuba Dive WIth Great White Sharks in Mexico, Deep Dive Into Bermuda and Skiing In Utah. They have so many travel videos. I am pretty sure wherever you want to go they have a video for that!
If YouTube isn't your style so many museum's around the world have virtual tours. Have you ever wanted to go to the Guggenheim in New York? Well, you can!
You can also tour virtually the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam! Without leaving your couch. I love how Van Gogh expresses movement and realness even within the fantasy he projected before you.
And since you aren't leaving home you need some popcorn! I am in love with Angie's BOOMCHICAPOP.
How about a trip to France from your bed? Yes, you can and visit the Musee d'Orsay in Paris. And a number of other museums all over the world! Another place in Paris I have always wanted to go to is the Louvre Museum.
Do you want to go to see Central Park? Here is a virtual tour! How about the Grand Canyon. They have a virtual tour. You can see Yosemite through a webcam. Do you crave seeing the ocean? Check out this Huntington Beach, CA pier webcam.
Would you like to see the Sistine Chapel? The Great Wall of China? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? How about the Smithsonian National History Museum?
Do your kids want to see animals? Well, the San Diego Zoo has live webcams. I have been to this zoo and it's a pretty amazing place. Do you know what all kids need with animals? Animal crackers!
You can always check out Disabled Disney's travel vlogs on our YouTube Channel as well!. We appreciate any views and watch time you could give us.
Leave me a comment. Did you do any of these virtual tours? What was your favorite? Do you have favorite virtual tours I didn't mention?
